Welcome Broken Vow to Sunday Drive Records

Posted on October 16th, 2020

We are pleased to welcome Connecticut hardcore band, Broken Vow to Sunday Drive Records. The band released their first demo earlier this year that immediately caught our attention, hearing a passionate and youthful voice from a new hardcore band. Each song is direct, urgent, and full of revelations and hope for a better, equal future. The band delivers this message with songwriting in the vein of early Earth Crisis, Count Me Out, and Strain.

SDR will be reissuing the demo on a 7" colored, round-cut lathe record. These are available for pre-order now, along with a new long sleeve.

Sergio Anello Announces New Album, “No Heavier Burden”

Posted on October 9th, 2020

Sergio Anello (The Early November) announced his new album, "No Heavier Burden" scheduled to release on October 23, 2020. Today, you can listen to the new single, ‘Someone to Love’ and pre-order the limited 12" vinyl.

“No Heavier Burden” has been in the works for just over a year now. Following the 2019 winter release of Sergio’s first solo effort, Tell or Be Told, he continued writing again in his spare time. Later that year, Sergio found himself spontaneously touring with The Early November on their fall U.S. tour in support of their latest album. It was then, when SDR and Sergio connected and got on a call to start discussing the possibility of working together for the new album.

After the tour, Sergio came back home inspired with new awareness, and would continue to share home demos of what would eventually become, No Heavier Burden. In these recordings, you can hear Sergio approaching these songs in a much more stripped-down and personal way, putting much intention on the structure of the song and focusing only on the voice and guitar in it.

No Heavier Burden explores personal stories, emotions, relationships, vulnerabilities and realizations of life.

The album will be pressed on limited, 180g heavyweight vinyl. This first pressing is limited to 100 and expected to ship around mid-November. Pre-order your copy below.

100% of Proceeds to Black Visions + New Community Page

Posted on May 30th, 2020

Sunday Drive Records was built upon a community of artists/musicians and have actively used our small platform to defend human rights, help protect minorities and fight against injustice. This is a work in progress page we've added to list out resources to make it easy to find charities and organizations you can help directly.

As of May 30, 2020 our focus on this community page is on specifically Black Lives. This weekend, we're doing our part to push 100% of proceeds to Black Visions Collective (BLVC) who “believe in a future where all Black people have autonomy, safety is community-led, and we are in right relationship within our ecosystems”.

Announcing “Sunday Drive Reading”

Posted on May 26th, 2020

We're excited to announce our new reading section today. SDR Reading will consist of distributed titles from zines we are fans of and future SDR zines that will be announced soon. To start off, we're featuring select titles from Shining Life Press and Inside Knowledge Fanzine.

Shining Life Press is run by a collective—led by Crucial John (Give). They've made it very easy for new readers (like myself) to get into zines by releasing anthology series while still featuring new bands. They do a great job with the printing and layout of each issue and SDR is excited to feature some of our favorites from them so far.

Inside Knowledge Fanzine is run out of our hometown of San Antonio, Texas. They're done a great job of documenting the hardcore scene in SA, so it was important for us to shine light on their work.

You can browse the selected titles below. We've tried to add a bit of links and info for each issue to make it easy to listen to the bands featured in the issues as well.
