We are very excited and honored to be releasing Park's Lobster Records discography on cassette tape for the first time. For months, the band, Lobster Records and us have been working to reissue these excellent albums in honor of Building A Better ______ turning 10 this year.
Park is an important and favorite band to us at Sunday Drive, and it's very exciting to get the chance to work with an amazing, influential band. Since the late 90's the band has been writing an important blend of emo/punk music that was a big part of the early 00's. Playing and touring with bands like The Early November, Spitalfield, The Starting Line, Hey Mercedes and more, the band was constantly working.
We still don't think Park got the attention they deserved at the time. These albums are all very, very excellent and the goal of this reissue was to bring new listeners to Park and to treat those early Park fans to a new format to add to their collection.
These cassettes are limited to 50 per album, have variants picked by Ladd Mitchell of Park and include 4 panel j-cards with lyrics, art, and photography. This is a very special release for Sunday Drive and you can pre-order the cassettes below.
We are very excited to be approaching November, as it is time for our annual compilation album! Above is the album cover that has been redesigned (Inspired by Deep Elm's Emo Diaries, and Factory Records) from the previous year, and this branding will be consistent for the future years of Music For November. This year, we are making it a goal to have each track be exclusive to the comp, so we are strongly encouraging everyone to submit a new/unreleased track, that way this compilation will be special when it is released. The deadline to submit your track is October 28, 2016, so we are giving everyone a month to get their tracks together. The release date for the album is not yet announced, however it will definitely be early November, so this year people can actually have music to listen to in November. You can submit your music directly below, and share this link with your friends if you'd like!
We are very excited to be re-releasing San Antonio, TX metal/hardcore band Snakeway's sophomore EP, Vortex Of Time on cassette tape for the very first time. Snakeway has just returned in 2016 after being gone for a little over a year, and Sunday Drive is very happy to welcome the band back with this re-release.
